Chobe Chilwero means "place of high view," which is fitting given this well-appointed lodge's regal setting above the Chobe River. On a clear day, guests will be able to see across the islands and flood plains of Chobe National Park, and into Namibia. The lodge itself is home to 15 bungalows, each of which has a private garden, patio area and outdoor shower, in addition to a spacious en-suite bathroom. You will be hard-pressed to find grander safari accommodations in Botswana: Each bungalow offers over 650 square feet of living space. The cuisine--described as "a delicious, eclectic fusion of Western and African delicacies"--is complemented by vintage wines and spirits from Chobe Chilwero's own cellar.
