Samburu Serena Safari Lodge

Set amidst the acacia groves that line the Uaso Nyiro River, the Samburu Serena Lodge occupies a central point in the Samburu National Reserve. The reserve boasts a variety of rare game, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra and the Beisa oryx. The eagle-eyed guest will delight in the resident birdlife; the lodge is also home to monitor lizards and a number of inquisitive squirrels. Be sure to save time for a drink in the Crocodile Bar--its overhanging deck is the perfect vantage point for the nightly feeding of the crocodiles. Each of the 62 rooms features a serene blend of traditional safari colors and Samburu art, as well as a private veranda that surveys the river.
