Day 1 Arrive Cape Town, South Africa
Touch down in cosmopolitan Cape Town. With a friendly welcome to South Africa, your driver will transport you to your stylish hotel overlooking the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Start exploring as you like.

Day 2 Cape Town
Get ready for an adrenaline-charged day on Table Mountain. For the epitome of breathtaking views, hike the Platteklip Gorge to the top of Table Mountain; then rappel down the steep slope looking out over the city, Table Bay and Robben Island. Feel the charge of completing “the world’s highest commercial abseil.” (B)

Day 3 Cape Town
With “Jaws” sparking your imagination, set out for a boat ride to Dyer Island in search of sharks. Work up your courage and descend in a reinforced cage beneath the sea to safely watch the menacing prehistoric fish. Your expert guide promises “this will be one of the most adrenaline-charging adventure activities you will ever live to remember.” (BL)

Day 4 Cape Town / Tuli Game Reserve, Botswana
Take flight to the Northern Tuli Game Reserve, situated in the remote eastern corner of Botswana. This is a place of exceptional beauty with rugged, unspoiled African landscapes, unchanged since the days of early visitors such as Kipling, Selous and artist/explorer Sir Thomas Baines. (BLD)

Day 5 Tuli Game Reserve
Wake up with the wildlife and join your expert ranger for a game drive in an open-air safari vehicle for the chance to spot some of the many different animals. Mashatu “Land of Giants”, takes its name from the Mashatu tree and the giants that roam its terrain, the African elephant – world’s largest mammal, the lion – king of the beasts, the giraffe – world’s tallest mammal, the eland – world’s largest antelope, the ostrich – world’s largest bird, and the kori bustard – world’s heaviest flying bird. This is an ornithologist’s dream and birdwatchers will delight in checking off the reserve’s 350 bird species, including the enchanting lilac-breasted roller, whose plumage features no less than seven shades of blue. (BLD)

Day 6 Tuli Game Reserve
Begin the day with a game drive to explore this diverse wilderness. Along the river courses, huge Mashatu trees provide shade for eland, impala, wildebeest, giraffe and zebra. Return to camp for a hearty brunch and a dip in the pool. As the sun cools down, join your ranger on an evening game drive in search of the bat-eared fox, African wildcat and the magnificent leopard. Dinner is served under the stars in the traditional open-air boma, while the sounds of the surrounding bushveld serenade you. (BLD)

Day 7 Tuli Game Reserve / Johannesburg
Soak up the pink glow of sunrise and your last hours in the bush before flying off to Johannesburg and your well appointed hotel. (B)

Day 8 Johannesburg / Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Take flight to Victoria Falls for three days soaking up the world’s largest curtain of falling water, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Zambezi National Park. Before the sun sets, board the classic teak Ra-Ikane, named for David Livingstone’s guide, and sip a sundowner or two as you watch for elephants, hippos and crocodiles along the river banks. (B)

Day 9 Victoria Falls
Kick off your day with a game drive on your way to the Zambezi National Park for some adventurous canoeing. After your qualified guide provides a thorough safety briefing and instruction, paddle down river, running small rapids, exploring channels looking for birds and other wildlife. Lunch and a cold beer await you at your disembarkation point some ten miles downstream. Return to your lodge for an afternoon poolside. (B)

Day 10 Victoria Falls
Today’s immersion in Victoria Falls starts with a guided walk along the misty overlooks to watch for rainbows. Marvel at the 100 million gallons of water per minute crashing through the channels. Then, head into Zambezi National Park for a full menu of thrilling rides. Look straight down on the river’s turbulent rapids as you zipline through the forest canopy along the Batoka Gorges, reaching over 65 miles per hour. Harness into a gigantic swing for a wild ride 300 feet above the river. Or try the Flying Fox, just take “a running jump into thin air over the gorge.” Even tonight’s dinner at your lodge will be adventurous. Specializing in traditional Zimbabwean dishes and renowned for its warthog fillet, the Boma feast will sate you with a four-course barbecue feast - the Mopane worms are optional. Get into the rhythm of the bush with performances by Amakwezi dancers and join in the drumming circle. (BD)

Day 11 Victoria Falls / Depart
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight bound for Johannesburg and your connecting international flights. You may be leaving Africa behind but you’ll return home with fantastic photos and memories that will always live on in your heart. (B)
