Elsa's Kopje

Elsa’s Kopje is one of Mount Meru National Park’s best secrets, hidden among the Mughwango Hills that give it part of it’s name: kopje means small hill. The lodge is named for Elsa the lioness from the book and film "Born Free", so it is fitting that four prides of lion are among the variety of animals to be seen on day and night game drives and bush walks. Nine stone and thatch cottages (including a private house and a honeymoon suite) blend with the natural environment of the hills and provide spectacular views across the plains. Guests at Elsa’s Kopje are treated to Northern Italian cuisine accented by local dishes and freshly grown vegetables.
