Sabi Sands Game Reserve is the oldest private reserve in South Africa and is located on the western border of Kruger National Park. Sabi Sands is divided into individual private game reserves, all offering excellent wildlife viewing and the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) experience.
It is one of the best places to see the most elusive “Big Five” animal, the leopard. Other animals that inhabit the land include, cheetah, packs of wild dogs and lively bird life. The Sabi and the Sand rivers run through the reserve, which adds further dimension to the area’s biodiversity. The reserve also boasts some of the most luxurious safari lodges in Africa.
